Does drinking coffee with friends makes easier to open up??

Have you noticed that when getting together with friends or acquaintances for a cup of Coffee makes easier for a person to relax and open up to talk openly about personal issues that otherwise it would never come up in a average conversation?

You can even see this happening on TV Police shows, the psychology of offering a cup of hot coffee to the person being questioned, then somehow the person relaxes, become comfortable holding the hot cup in its hands, and start cooperating with the interrogator.

I want to know what is your opinion and experience about this subject.
